Submission Guidelines

We'd love to read
your work.

Follow these guidelines and your manuscript gets a careful, genuine read from our editorial team. Skip them, and it's easy to miss a book we'd otherwise have championed.

How to submit

Send your query by email to our submissions desk. This reaches the whole editorial team, so you don't need to guess which editor is the right fit.

Email: info@storiquehouse.com
Subject line: QUERY — [Genre] — [Book Title] — [Last Name]
Example: QUERY — Literary Fiction — The Tide Line — Reyes

What to include

Every submission, in a single email, should contain the following:

  1. Query letter. A short, compelling note introducing yourself and your book — genre, word count, and what makes it stand out in today's market.
  2. Synopsis. A one-page summary of the whole story, including the ending. Attach it as a Word or PDF file.
  3. Sample pages. The first ten pages of your manuscript, pasted directly into the body of the email (please don't attach them unless we ask).
  4. Author bio. A brief note on your writing background and platform — especially important for nonfiction.

What we're looking for

We're currently open to submissions in these categories:

Fiction

Literary and upmarket fiction, thrillers and mystery, historical fiction, and book-club fiction with a strong, distinctive narrative voice.

Nonfiction

Memoir, narrative nonfiction, business and self-development, wellness, popular culture, and true crime.

Children's & Young Adult

Middle-grade, young adult, and graphic novels with a clear voice and genuine crossover appeal.

Above all, we're drawn to authors who are serious about their craft, close to publication-ready, and willing to be real partners in bringing a book to readers.

A few tips to stand out

  • Polish and format your manuscript professionally before you send it.
  • Pitch to your market — show us you understand who your book is for.
  • If you've already worked with StoriqueHouse on an assessment or branding, mention it; that context helps us place you faster.

Please note

  • We do not accept AI-generated manuscripts. Real editors read real writing.
  • Simultaneous submissions are welcome — just let us know promptly if your book is picked up elsewhere.
  • We're not currently accepting poetry, short-story collections, picture books, academic texts, or dissertations.

Our review process

Every submission that follows these guidelines is read and considered. If we'd like to see more, we'll reply to request the full manuscript. Because we receive a high volume of queries, we can't always respond to every one — but a book that fits what we're looking for will always get our attention.
